
IceMen Finalize Opening Night Roster

EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light, announced their roster for the team's opening night contest against the Gwinnett Gladiators on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Ford Center.
Head Coach Dwight Mullins narrowed his roster to 22 names that will wear the IceMen jersey to start the 2014-15 season. In total 12 forwards, eight defensemen, and two goaltenders make up the IceMen's 22 man squad.
The IceMen's opening night roster will be:
#2 Troy Rutkowski (Defenseman)- Played in 53 games for the Elmira Jackals in 2013-14
#4 Zach Sternberg (Defenseman)- Tallied 16 points in 36 games for Lake Superior State
#5 Ty Wishart (Defenseman)- Has a +5 rating in 26 career NHL games for NYI and TB.
#7 Randy Cure (Defenseman)- A rookie who played seven games for Elmira in 2013-14
#9 Dirk Southern (Forward)- Scored 16 goals & 23 assists for opening night opponent Gwinnett
#11 Kale Kerbashian (Forward)- Posted 50 points in 54 games to help Allen win the CHL Title
#15 Nathan Moon (Forward)- Has 80 points in 95 career games with the IceMen
#17 Matt Lowry (Forward)- Scored 16 goals & 23 assists in 53 games with Evansville last year
#18 Andre Bouvet-Morrissette (Forward)- Lit the lamp seven times in 23 games for the IceMen
#19 Danny Hobbs (Forward)- Posted 17 goals and 18 assists for 35 total points with Elmira
#21 Antoine Corbin (Defenseman)- Played in 25 games for the IceMen, tallying four points
#22 Brandon Wong (Forward)- Netted 31 goals for Greenville in the 2011-12 season.
#23 Zach Currie (Defenseman)- Dished out two assists in 12 games with the IceMen in 13-14
#25 Patrick Kennedy (Forward)- Has 47 points in 70 career games with IceMen.
#26 Donnie Harris (Defenseman)- Finished +3 in 50 games for the IceMen in 2013-14
#28 Guy Lepine (Defenseman)- Played 48 games for the IceMen posting 2 goals and 11 assists
#29 Jakub Culek (Forward)- Recorded 30 points in 49 games for Elmira last season
#92 Peter Sakaris (Forward)- Scored 10 goals and helped on 14 more for the IceMen in 2013-14
#35 Cal Heeter (Goaltender)- Posted a 2.65 Goals Against Average in 44 AHL games
#36 Chris Driedger (Goaltender)-Stopped 89.5 percent of the shots he saw in 5 pro games.
Only nine of these men played for the IceMen in 2013-14. With a new squad, a new coaching staff, and a new affiliation, the IceMen will begin their third season in the ECHL this Saturday at the Ford Center against Gwinnett.
Before the game, visit Backstage Bar & Grill for the official Pregame Party. There will be fun for the whole family with a beer garden, a cornhole tournament, and a kid zone. The fun continues at the Ford Center, when the IceMen kick off their seventh professional season. The first 6,500 fans at the Ford Center will receive an IceMen magnetic schedule presented by Sky Zone.
