Edmonton Oil Kings News Release
Moose Jaw, Sask. - The Edmonton Oil Kings are back in action tonight as they continue a three-game road swing through the East Division.
After a 4-3 win over Regina on Wednesday, the Oil Kings head to Moose Jaw to visit the Warriors for the first of four meetings this season. Last season, Edmonton went 4-0-0-0 against Moose Jaw, and only allowed a total of four goals. That included a pair of shutouts from Ethan Simcoe on Moose Jaw ice. Adam Jecho also had 11 points for Edmonton in the season series to lead the way offensively.
So far this season, the Oil Kings are 3-1-0-0 and are looking for their second straight victory. The offense has also been spread out through four games for Edmonton this season, with 10 players scoring at least one goal, and 18 players recording a point. The Oil Kings 90% penalty kill has also been a big reason for the three wins to this point, which included seven penalty kills in Regina on Wednesday.
As for the Warriors, they are off to a red hot 3-0-0-0 start to the year and are currently averaging 7 goals-per-game. They've earned wins over Brandon twice, and Swift Current once to begin the season and are led offensively by Ethan Semeniuk and Pavel MacKenzie who each have seven points.
Puck drop from the newly named Temple Gardens Centre is at 7 p.m.
