Night at Freedom to Benefit United Ministries
June 6, 2012 - Frontier League (FL)
Florence Y'alls News Release
On Tuesday, June 12th, the City of Florence will be coming together to celebrate a night of fun and baseball at the Home of the Florence Freedom, all while supporting a local charity that provides so much to the Florence community.
United Ministries is a non-profit ministry that serves individuals and families residing in southern Kenton and Boone counties, and they will be the benefactor when the Freedom take the field against the London Rippers on Tuesday when online ticket sales and sponsorship sales go directly back to the organization.
"Our mission is to assist families by establishing a comprehensive system of response to the emergency needs of persons or families residing in the area," United Ministries director Rebecca Ewing said. "We offer food, clothing, household items, and financial assistance to those in need."
To assist the United Ministries organization, the Florence Freedom and Florence Mayor Diane E. Whalen, have worked together in organizing the June 12th event for local businesses and residents to come out and support their close to home charity.
For this night, $3 from every ticket purchased online under the Florence Community Night tab will go directly back to United Ministries. Also, percentages of local business sponsorships will go immediately back to this worthwhile organization.
The Florence Community Night is presented by local Florence partner, Family Allergy & Asthma.
As a thank you to Northern Kentucky residents that would like to step up and support this cause, fans will be receiving a $2 discount by purchasing their tickets online through the Florence Community Tab.
"It's a win, win scenario for a great community partner in United Ministries and for our fans in Northern Kentucky," Freedom General Manager Josh Anderson said. "Fans can enjoy an affordable night of community together at a fun entertainment venue, they can cheer the Freedom on to victory, save some money on their tickets and support an organization that's been so supportive of their community neighbors."
For Florence businesses to get involved in supporting United Ministries, contact the Freedom at 859-594-4487 ex 34. Sponsorships allow businesses to set up a promotional booth on the Freedom's concourse, logo placement on the video board, enjoy a complimentary group outing and more, all while a portion of each sponsorship goes directly to United Ministries.
The Florence Freedom are members of the Independent Frontier League and play all their home games at the Home of the Florence Freedom located at 7950 Freedom Way, in Florence, KY. The Freedom box office may be reached Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm and on Saturday in which there is a home game from 10am-2pm.
