The midfielder signed an MLS NEXT Pro contract last year and took part in this season's preseason with the first team. Following a strong camp, Molinari played 90 minutes in New York City FC II's season opener shootout win against Charlotte last week. The midfielder is set to join the first team as a homegrown player in 2027.

An individual player may appear in any number of non-league games during the terms of his four Short-Term Agreements.
Molinari will be available for selection in tonight's home match against New England Revolution, which celebrates 10 years since the club's inaugural home opener against the Revs.
