Rochester Red Wings News Release
The Red Wings have teamed up with The Strong National Museum of Play for our first-ever National Toy Hall of Fame Day on Sunday, June 24!
Our game day presentation will feature the 2017 inductees - Wiffle Ball, Clue and Paper Airplane - as well as dozens of the other 63 toys that have been inducted since the Hall of Fame was established in Rochester in 1998.
Click here for a full-list of inducted toys.
The first 1,000 fans on June 24 will receive a Wings wiffle ball courtesy of the The Strong National Museum of Play!
After the game, we'll have a wiffle ball home run derby with some of the Red Wings players before kids can run the bases with Spikes and Mittsy.
All fans are encouraged to bring a toy to donate to our friends at the Hillside Special Santa Program. Fans who donate will be entered into a raffle to win a toy prize pack!
We'll have several inducted toys spread out throughout the concourse for kids and adults alike to play with and we'll bring a few of the "toys" to life for fans to take photos with.
Check the Frontier Field concession stands for food specials such as the Mr. Potato Head at Red Osier and Candyland Sundae at Ice Cream Plus!
The National Toy Hall of Fame® at The Strong, established in 1998, recognizes toys that have inspired creative play and enjoyed popularity over a sustained period. Each year, the prestigious hall inducts new honorees and showcases both new and historic versions of classic toys beloved by generations.
