BROOKINGS, S.D.  - Daktronics  (NASDAQ-ÂDAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, has partnered with baseball's Columbus Clippers to design, manufacture and install three new LED displays at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio. The new visual elements were installed this spring to inform and entertain fans in 2018 and beyond. Â
Ken Schnacke, Clippers President & GM stated, "We are proud to once again partner with Daktronics on a videoboard project to enhance the fan experience at our award-Âwinning Huntington Park. This is the 42nd  season of Clippers Baseball, and every single one of these seasons Daktronics has provided the scoreboard/videoboards that have entertained our fans.  This brand new beautiful LED videoboard takes us to a new plateau of fan enjoyment, and we are so excited that we were able to make this happen with our partnership with Daktronics".   Â
The new main outfield video display measures 21.5 feet high by 87.5 feet wide and features a 15HD pixel layout to bring excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility to every seat in the stadium. It is capable of variable content zoning allowing it to show one large image or to be divided into multiple windows to show any combination of live video, instant replays, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsorship messages.  Â
"We provided the original display for the Clippers when their award-winning Huntington Park opened in 2009, so we're excited to extend our long-Âstanding relationship with the team for this upgrade," said Daryl Mihal, Daktronics regional manager. "This is a well-renowned ball park that consistently ranks as one of the best in the nation for overall fan experience, and these new LED products will help keep them at the top of that list." Â
Two ribbon displays were installed along the seating fascia of the stadium to bring additional game-day elements to the overall fan experience. Each ribbon measures 3.5 feet high by 42 feet wide and features 15HD pixel layouts.Â
These displays can provide supplemental content to the main display while also allowing the opportunity to highlight sponsors throughout events.Â
Additionally, the Clippers will receive digital content produced by Daktronics Creative Services to help bring their new technology to life. Content will be designed and delivered at the request of the team.  Â
Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology features industry-leading environmental protection for a long lifetime with consistent performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
