From the Notes

Martini Sets Franchise Mark: With a single in the second inning last night, Nick Martini extended his consecutive on-base streak to 37 games. The mark is the longest streak by a Nashville Sounds player in the Pacific Coast League era (1998-present). In 2013, Eugenio Velez reached in 36 consecutive games. Martini's streak is the longest active streak in the Pacific Coast League, and second-longest in 2018 behind only Fresno's Tyler White who reached in 45 straight games from April 5 to May 24. Since April 14, Martini has reached in every game he has played in and is hitting .317 (39-for-123) with 19 RBI, 21 runs, 6 doubles, 3 home runs and 30 walks.

Those Three are Streaking: Josh Phegley, Jorge Mateo and Nick Martini all have hitting streaks of at least six games. Phegley has hit safely in seven straight (.269, 7-for-26), Mateo has hit safely in six straight (.350, 7-for-20) and Martini has hit safely in six consecutive games (.333, 8-for-24).

Rare Loss: The Sounds had a rare loss in two ways last night. It was only the fourth game all season in which their opponent scored less than three runs and still lost (16-4) and only the seventh time losing a game when scoring first (18-7).
