'Cakes Lose on Another Walk-Off

Des Moines, IA - The Iowa Cubs get a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning to bring across the game winning run to defeat New Orleans 5-4.

The 'Cakes have matched their longest losing streak of the season at seven and three of the losses have been walk-off defeats. New Orleans has dropped nine games this season in the opponents last at bat and has a PCL leading ten blown saves.

The 'Cakes scored a pair of runs in the fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead with an RBI from Eric Campbell and Tomas Telis.

Iowa answered with four runs in the seventh inning to take a 4-2 lead. The Cubs took adavantage of a pair of hit better's and a bases loaded walk. New Orleans pushed across a pair of runs in the ninth to tie the game.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Mike Freeman singled and advanced to third base on some aggressive base running. He would score on a sac fly to give the Cubs their fourth consecutive win.
