
Nailers to Welcome Shawn Michaels

Wheeling, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announced today they will host newly crowned WWE Champion Shawn Michaels in the Wheeling Civic Center on Saturday, March 22, 2003 from 6-8pm.
Shawn Michaels, better know as "HBK" will appear at the Saturday, March 22, 2003 Wheeling Nailers game when the Nailers play host to the Trenton Titans. Michaels will be signing autographs at the Nailers game from 6-8pm. One "FREE autograph per person with additional autographs for a $10.00 fee to benefit the Golden Spike Association Tickets for Kids program.
The Golden Spike Association Tickets for Kids benefits area youth with tickets to see a Wheeling Nailers hockey game. The Golden Spike Association Tickets for Kids, through the Ohio Valley Community Foundation provides free tickets to charitable organizations like Big Brothers/Big Sisters, House of the Carpenter, Youth Services of Ohio County, and the St. John's Home for Children.
The "Heart Break Kid" has been wrestling in the WWE since 1996. Vince McMahon calls Shawn Michaels the "greatest in-ring performer in WWE history." Michaels won back the WWE Championship in early December during the "Survivor Series" in a heated match in the "Elimination Chamber" at Madison Square Garden. Michaels was the first wrestler to become a WWE "Grand Slam Champion" â capturing the WWE, Intercontinental, European, and Tag Team Championships.
Tickets for the event are on sale now at the Wheeling Civic Center Box Office. Discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. For tickets, call the Civic Center or Ticket Master (304) 233-3535. Doors open at 6pm and face-off for the Nailers game will be 7:30pm.
