Nailers Sign Mark Scally

WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers today announce the signing of goaltender Mark Scally. Scally will be in uniform for the Nailers home game tonight against the Toledo Storm at WesBanco Arena.

Scally began this season with the Miami Manatees of the WHA2. Scally did not appear in any of the first nine games this season for Miami.

Scally played for the Nailers during the 2000-01 season, his first season of professional hockey. The Moon Township, PA native joined the Nailers after a playing his college hockey at Penn State. During his first season with the Nailers, Scally played in 17 games and had a record of 3-11-0. He had a goals against average of 5.16 and a save percentage of .859. During his first season, Scally also appeared in one game for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. Last season he was with the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL.

The Nailers return home to WesBanco Arena on Sunday against the defending Kelly Cup Champions, the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies.
