IceGators Announce 3 Schedule Changes

Lafayette, LA â The Louisiana IceGators today announced three changes to their 2003-04 schedule. Two of these moves will result in the changing of home dates, the third is a change in the start time for the Holiday Spectacular of December 22, 2003.
The IceGators game originally scheduled for January 4, 2004 vs. Columbus has been moved to St. Patrick's Day, Wednesday March 17,2004. This move was made to allow LSU football fans to watch the Sugar Bowl without having to miss the first IceGators home game of 2004.
The IceGators game originally scheduled for Saturday, January 31,2004 vs. Pensacola has been changed to Friday, February 6,2004. This change will allow the Cajundome to bring in Three Doors Down for a concert on the 31st. This change is actually a game swap situation as the Ice Pilots will host the Gators on the last day of January and then the Gators will return the favor on February 6.
" We believe the three game changes will benefit our fans greatly" said IceGators General Manager Brian Kelley. "Moving the January 4th game was designed to allow all LSU fans to enjoy the day without distractions. We'd like to thank the Pensacola Ice Pilots for agreeing to change dates with us and allow the IceGators fans the excitement of a weekend game on February 6th instead of a mid week night."
The last of the three changes will be a change in start time for the Icegators- Greenville Grrrowl match up on Monday, December 22, 2003. The first change to a 4:05pm start would not allow many season ticket holders to attend the game, the new start time of 5:05pm should help alleviate the situation. The Holiday Spectacular will include, Teddy Bear Toss Night, the culmination of the IceGators and Cox Media Toys for Tots Drive,a visit from Santa Claus, and two post game sessions of Skate with the Gators.
Kelley says " We want to provide our fans with unique entertainment options in addition to the great action on the ice. We believe the 5:05pm start will enable our customers to enjoy all the holiday festivities and excitement we are offering on December. 22nd.
