WHEELING, WV – The Wheeling Nailers announce that the start time for their first home game on Sunday, October 13 has been changed. The game was originally scheduled for 6:00p.m. but will now begin at 6:35p.m. The reason for the time change is due to WTOV-9 broadcasting the game live.

Before the game there will be a special presentation for Nailers Head Coach John Brophy to commemorate his 1000th victory. Tom Rooney of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pat Kelly of the East Coast Hockey League and Phil Pritchard of the Hockey Hall of Fame will be on hand to present John with gifts honoring his accomplishment. There will also be a banner raised to the roof of the Wheeling Civic Center signifying John's 1000th win.

The Cincinnati Cyclones will be the opponent for the Nailers first home game and the first 4000 fans will receive a "John Brophy Cheer Card". WTOV-9, WesBanco, Wheeling Hospital and The Ogden Newspapers, Inc will sponsor the Nailers home opener.

The Nailers begin their season on October 11 in Reading. Full and partial season ticket packages are available at the Nailers ticket office. For ticket information call the Nailers at 234-4625 or toll free at 1-877-NAIL-TIX.
