The Baysox racked up 19 hits and only stranded two runners in the game. Sebastien Boucher, Carlos Rojas and Montanez combined to go 12-for-18 with 2 homeruns, 11 RBI and 13 runs scored.

The Baysox jumped out to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first. Carlos Rojas reached on a throwing error by shortstop Angel Gonzalez with one out. Montanez moved Rojas to third with a single to center and both runners scored when Nolan Reimold hit a three-run homer to left-center field.

The Curve came back to tie the game with a pair of homeruns off Jason Berken. Jamie Romak hit a two-run homerun to right field in the second inning. Steven Lerud followed with a solo homerun in the third to tie the game at 3-3. Berken would go 6.2 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five to earn the win. With the win, Berken improves to 10-3 with a 3.52 ERA.

Bowie would go on to score in each of the next four innings. In the top of the third inning, Sebastien Boucher led off with a single. Carlos Rojas singled to center and both runners advanced on a fielding error by center fielder James Boone. With runners on second and third, Lou Montanez doubled to right to collect his first two RBI of the game, giving the Baysox a 5-3 lead. Jeff Nettles would add a solo homerun in the top of the fourth.

In the top of the fifth, Boucher and Rojas both singled and scored when Montanez tripled to right field. Montanez scored on a sacrifice fly by Matt Wieters to give Bowie a 9-3 lead. In the sixth inning, Ryan Finan drew a one-out walk and went to second on a single by Boucher. Finan would score on a single by Carlos Rojas before Montanez hit a three-run homerun to complete the cycle. After six innings, the Baysox led 13-3 and Montanez had seven RBI.

In the eighth inning, Boucher and Rojas both reached on errors. Montanez drove Boucher in with a single to center, his fifth hit of the game. Jonathan Tucker followed with an RBI single of his own and the Baysox led 15-3.

With the game out of reach heading in to the top of the ninth, Altoona brought in backup catcher Milver Reyes to pitch. Jeff Nettles welcomed him to the game with his second solo homerun of the contest. Ryan Finan hit a one-out double to right and scored when Blake Davis followed with his own double to right. Boucher capped the Baysox scoring with a two-run homer to right, putting Bowie up 19-3.

Sebastien Boucher and Carlos Rojas both scored five runs to join Alex Ochoa and Kimera Bartee as the only Baysox to score five runs in a game. Ochoa accomplished the feat in 1994 and Bartee did it in 1995.

Lou Montanez tied a pair of franchise records with his outstanding night. His five hits were the most by a Baysox player since Val Majewski accomplished the feat in 2004. His eight RBI match the franchise mark originally set by Doug Gredvig in 2002. Cody Keylor also notched eight RBI in a game in 2006.

With the win, the Baysox improve to 65-49 on the season and now trails Akron by 2.5 games in the Southern Division. The Baysox will take on the Curve again at 7:05 p.m. Saturday. RHP Brad Bergesen (13-3, 2.68 ERA) will look to set the Baysox single-season record for wins, he will be going up against Altoona RHP Christian Castorri (0-1, 6.32 ERA). Bowie returns home for a seven-game homestand on Monday.
