MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Manchester Monarchs fell to the Worcester Railers Saturday night, 3-2, at SNHU Arena.

The Monarchs (40-25-3-3) dropped their sixth straight game, against the Railers (37-26-4-4), 3-2, and will play Sunday to determine their playoff seeding.

The Railers opened the scoring at 2:51 of the first period on the 2nd goal of the season by Dylan Willick. Ben Masella fired a wrist shot from just inside the blue line that was redirected by Willick, past the right leg pad of Monarchs goaltender, Charles Williams, to give the Railers a 1-0 lead.

Worcester doubled their lead at 15:00 of the first period on the 1st goal of the season from Dwyer Tschantz. After receiving a pass along the boards from Matt Lane, Justin Hamonic fired a one-timer on Williams, where Tschantz tipped the shot past Williams, to make the score, 2-0, Railers.

The Monarchs cut the Railers lead in half at 18:40 of the first period on a power-play goal by Kevin Morris, scoring his 12th goal of the season. David Kolomatis fired a shot on net where Morris redirected the puck past the Railers goaltender, Will King, to make the score, 2-1.

The Monarchs tied the game at 19:05 of the first period on the 23rd goal of the season for Matt Schmalz. Schmalz skated the puck down the right-wing boards and cut to center ice, where he split the defensemen, and fired a wrist shot under the glove of King, to tie the game, 2-2.

The Railers took the lead yet again at 15:43 of the third period on the 10th goal of the season for T.J. Syner. Josh McArdle sent a pass from the corner to the right point, where Syner wristed a shot past the glove of Williams, to give Worcester a 3-2 lead.

The Monarchs play their final game of the regular season on Sunday, Apr. 8 (3:05 p.m.) when they take on the Worcester Railers from the DCU Center.

NOTES:

David Kolomatis played in his 490th professional game.

Alexx Privitera scored his 50th professional point.

Charles Williams made 13 saves on 16 shots.
