MANCHESTER, NH - The Monarchs Care Foundation, the charitable arm of Manchester Monarchs, netted $33,000 for three area charities during their seventh annual "At Your Service" event, held at The Event Center at C.R. Sparks in Bedford, New Hampshire, on Monday night. The money raised from the event will be donated to Child Health Services, Manchester Boys & Girls Club and the Monarchs Care Foundation's Investing In Our Youth Grant Program. The Monarchs "At Your Service" event has raised over $400,000 for local charities over the last seven years.

"The caring contributions and donations from our team and local businesses made the evening a success for the seventh year in a row," said Cheryl Abbott, Monarchs Senior Vice President. "Our fans' support and generosity to our community continuously amazes me as we have surpassed the $400,000 giving mark to these deserving charitable partners."

A night where the hockey gloves come off and the bow ties come on, "At Your Service" annually turns a normally rugged hockey team into an accomplished wait staff eager to fulfill special requests, such as singing a song, telling a joke, doing impersonations, making surprise phone calls, posing for photos and dancing - all for charitable tips.

Silent auction items at this year's event included tickets to select events at the Verizon Wireless Arena as well as autographed hockey memorabilia and the wait staffs specialty tuxedo jerseys. Pottery, gift baskets and Build-A-Bears, all created by the players with their personal interests in mind, were also auctioned off to the top bidders. Monarchs right wing Kevin Westgarth and defenseman Drew Bagnall also raffled off lunch with them at the Wild Rover to a lucky fan.

In addition to mingling with their favorite hockey players, the fans attending Monday's event were also treated to a first-class dinner and a night of dancing.

The Monarchs return to the ice on Wednesday, March 12 at 7:05 p.m. when they host the Springfield Falcons at the Verizon Wireless Arena. Catch all of the play-by-play action of Monarchs hockey with Ken Cail on the Monarchs Radio Network WGIR-AM 610 and at www.monarchshockey.com. Watch the game live on B2 Networks for just $6 per game.
