Blues Recall Polak

The St. Louis Blues announced today that they have recalled defenseman Roman Polak on emergency conditions from the Peoria Rivermen.

Polak, 21, has appeared in 28 games with Peoria this season, posting six assists and 15 penalty minutes. The Ostrava, Czech Republic native split time between St. Louis and Peoria in his rookie season last year, playing 53 games with Peoria (4-8-12, 66 PIMs) and 19 in St. Louis (0-0-0, 6 PIMs). Polak was recalled earlier this season to the Blues but did not dress.

He will be available for St. Louis' game tonight against the Oilers in Edmonton at 8 pm CST.

Peoria returns to the ice this weekend with three straight road games starting Friday against Milwaukee at 7 pm. The Rivermen then travel to Chicago to face the Wolves Saturday at 7 pm and return to Milwaukee for a Sunday matinee at 4 pm. All games are broadcast live on your Home for Rivermen Hockey, 96.5 ESPN Radio, and are also available via the B2 Networks audio and video feeds.
