Canucks recall McIver

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled defenceman Nathan McIver from the Moose.

McIver, 23, has appeared in 11 games with the Canucks this season and collected 30 penalty minutes. In 39 games with the Moose, the Summerside, PEI native scored three goals and three assists for six points and 83 penalty minutes. He scored the game-winning goal Nov. 10/07 vs. Milwaukee and then scored the overtime winner Dec. 22/07 vs. Hamilton. McIver has played in 168 AHL games in his career - all with the Moose. He has scored five goals and 11 assists for 16 points and 379 penalty minutes. In 14 career Calder Cup playoff games with Manitoba, he has 28 penalty minutes. McIver was originally Vancouver's eighth round draft choice, 254th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
