Monarchs Assign Holloway To Ontario

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, assigned right wing Bud Holloway to their ECHL affiliate, the Ontario Reign, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Holloway, 20, played in 38 games with the Monarchs this season and has recorded 12 points (7-5=12) and six penalty minutes in his rookie season. Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-1, 192-pound native of Wapella, Saskatchewan, played five seasons with the Western Hockey League's Seattle Thunderbirds. Holloway played in 282 career games with Seattle and collected 197 points (95-102=197) from 2003-08. Selected by the Kings in the third round (86th overall) in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, he signed a three-year entry-level contract with Los Angeles on April 24, 2008.

The Monarchs face-off with the Atlantic Division leading Providence Bruins at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Friday, February 20 at 7:05 p.m.
