INDEPENDENCE, MO (Oct. 24, 2015) - The Missouri Mavericks (4-1-0-0) triumphed over the Wichita Thunder (2-2-0-0) on Saturday night during their home-opener at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, collecting their fourth win of the season in the 2-1 victory.

Robinson held strong between the pipes for the remainder of regulation, stopping a total of 18 shots on goal through the game.
The Mavericks power-play lineup of Andrew Courtney, Trevor Ludwig and Rocco Carzo proved to be the most dangerous on the ice against the Thunder, locking in both Missouri goals during the second period.
Andrew Courtney got the equalizer at 7:37 while the Mavs were in a man-advantage situation, with the first assist credited to Trevor Ludwig, and the secondary given to Rocco Carzo. Then at 15:20, the Mavericks found themselves with another power-play opportunity, and Courtney-Ludwig-Carzo line lit it up again, this time with Ludwig taking the tally for a 2-1 lead.
Missouri dominated puck possession, leading the Thunder 27-18 in shots on goal by the end of regulation. The Mavs play their next game at home on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 7:05p.m. at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena. Tickets are available online at TicketMaster.com and in-person at the arena box office.
