
Mavericks' Forward Called-Up to American Hockey League

INDEPENDENCE, MO - The Missouri Mavericks announced Friday afternoon that forward Rocco Carzo has been signed to a professional try out (PTO) with the San Diego Gulls of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Carzo, who signed a standard player contract with the Mavericks ahead of their 2015-16 ECHL season, has scored 5 goals and 21 assists through 34 games with Missouri.
"We're very proud of Rocco for being given this opportunity to play at the next level," said Richard Matvichuk, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations for the Missouri Mavericks. "He's a hard-working player who deserves this opportunity, and we wish him the best of luck."
The Missouri Mavericks maintain Carzo's ECHL rights.
The Mavericks play their next 2 games on the road against the Colorado Eagles this weekend on Friday and Saturday evening before returning home to Silverstein Eye Centers Arena to celebrate Mac's (mascot) Birthday on Friday, Jan. 22nd! Join in on the fun and enjoy the company of special mascot guests and a youth hockey/mascot broom ball game during the first intermission of the game.
Tickets to all Missouri Mavericks home games are available online at TicketMaster.com and in-person at the arena box office. The Mavs game on Friday, Jan. 22nd sparks a 14-game home stand at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena that will carry through to Feb. 21st!
