ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and the AHL's Rochester Americans, look to end their four-game losing skid tonight at home against the Reading Royals. Tonight is another DeMet's Candy Cup Challenge contest between the Jackals and Royals.

MAGNIFYING THE MATCHUP
Tonight marks the 122nd all-time regular season game between the Jackals and the Royals, making the Royals the most frequently played opponent of the Jackals. The Jackals are 55-54-12 all-time against the Royals, including a 4-4-0 record in seven meetings this year. This year, the Royals took two of the first three meetings in October; none of the games were close. However, Elmira won consecutive 5-4 thrillers on Nov. 20 and 21 to take the season series lead. On Dec. 18, the Jackals took their third straight in the series improving their season record to 3-1-0-0 in Reading. On Dec 19 and 26, Reading's Adam Morrison posted back-to-back shutouts for the Royals to even the season series at four apiece. Cason Hohmann and Colin Jacobs have each scored three goals versus Reading this year, while Hohmann leads the Jackals with six assists and nine points in the eight meetings this season.
