
Mauldin Signs A.T.O. -- Jokila Recalled by Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (April 7, 2004) â The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed center Greg Mauldin to an amateur try-out contract. The team also announced that they recalled left wing Janne Jokila from Dayton (ECHL).
Mauldin, 21, appeared in 98 games with Massachusetts (HE) tallying 48 goals, 46 assists and 51 penalty minutes. Mauldin made his NHL debut on March 26 vs. the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. In six games with Columbus, Mauldin recorded four penalty minutes. A native of Holliston, Massachusetts, Mauldin was Columbus' 10th pick, 199th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
Jokila, 21, appeared in six games with Syracuse earlier this season, without recording a point. In 69 games with Dayton this season, Jokila recorded 17 goals, 23 assists and 69 penalty minutes. A native of Turku, Finland, Jokila was Columbus' 7th pick, 200th overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft.
