
Archer, Shasby and Larrivee join Bulldogs

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced they have recalled defencemen Andrew Archer and Matt Shasby, as well as forward Christian Larrivee from the ECHL's Columbus Cottonmouths.
Archer, a 20-year-old native of Calgary, Alberta has played in 29 games for the Bulldogs this season and earned an assist, along with 23 penalty minutes. The 6'4, 204 pound defenceman also saw action with Columbus, playing in four games, earning an assist and four minutes in penalties. Archer was chosen 203rd overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
Shasby, a 6'2, 200 pound defenceman from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has spent the entire season with Columbus. In 66 games played, the 23-year-old defenceman tallied 28 points
(8-20-28) and 34 penalty minutes. Shasby was selected 150th overall by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
Larrivee, a 21-year-old native of Gaspe, Quebec, has skated in 72 games with Columbus during 2003-04, and posted 33 points (11-22-33), along with 28 penalty minutes. The 6'3, 200 pound Larrivee also seen action in two games with the Bulldogs this season, where he scored one goal and an added an assist. Larrivee was taken 114th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft.
The Hamilton Bulldogs next action will take place on Thursday, April 7th at 8.30 p.m. as they travel to Winnipeg to face the Manitoba Moose. Bulldogs fans can listen to Derek Wills call all the action on 820 CHAM-AM and online at www.hamiltonbulldogs.com.
