
Ducks, Barons skate to 2-2 stalemate

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Juha Alen scored the tying goal midway through the third period as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks skated to a 2-2 tie with the Cleveland Barons Wednesday at Gund Arena.
Shane O'Brien also scored and Tony Martensson had a pair of assists for his team-leading 14th multiple-point game of the season for Cincinnati, which moved to within two points of Houston for fourth place in the West Division.
Marcel Goc and Patrick Rissmiller netted goals for Cleveland, which has scored first in each of its last 10 games.
Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 37 shots in the stalemate for the Ducks, including all five shots that he faced in overtime. Nolan Schaefer turned aside 28 shots in net for the Barons.
The Ducks host Houston Friday at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.
