On Tuesday, Vaclav Nedorost returned to San Antonio from the NHL and scored twice, including the game-winning goal with 3:19 left in regulation, as the Rampage earned two important points with a 3-2 decision in Milwaukee... St. John's kept its playoff hopes alive with a 2-1 win over visiting Syracuse; to qualify for the postseason, the Maple Leafs still need to win their final three games while Toronto loses its last three in regulation.

LOOKING AHEAD:
A national TV audience on The Score in Canada gets what could be a qualifying-round playoff preview as Toronto hosts Rochester on Wednesday (7:00 ET). The Roadrunners have been outscored 14-2 in losing four in a row â all on home ice â and have fallen five points behind the Amerks into fifth place in the North Division. Rochester is 6-1-2-0 in the season series with Toronto, but is 4-8-2-2 north of the border in 2003-04. Amerks forward Domenic Pittis is on a seven-game scoring streak and has erupted for 12+23=35 points in his last 24 games to move into third in the AHL with 73 points on the year.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton can secure third place in the East Division with a win or tie against Binghamton on Wednesday (7:05 ET) as the teams meet for the eighth time this season. The Penguins have a 3-1-3-0 edge in the head-to-head series, and Kris Beech has 10 points in his last six games overall for the Pens. These teams' head coaches have a history that goes back 20 years to the 1984 Calder Cup Playoffs, when John Paddock coached Maine to a semifinal series win over 20-year-old rookie Michel Therrien and the Nova Scotia Voyageurs, en route to the Mariners' third Calder Cup title.
Hershey visits Albany on Wednesday desperate for a win; the Chocolate and White are three points behind fifth-place Norfolk in the East with three games remaining. Hershey has only missed the Calder Cup Playoffs nine times in 65 years, but has fallen off the pace since a 12-3-2-2 start to this season. Defenseman Brett Clark is back from Colorado, but the Bears are still without leading scorer Eric Perrin, who is preparing for the Stanley Cup Playoffs with Tampa Bay. The River Rats, who have announced a two-year extension of their affiliation with New Jersey, have won two straight at home, including a 4-2 decision over the Bears on Mar. 28.
