Marlies Sign Goaltender Andrew Engelage to AHL Contract

Dave Nonis, General Manager of the Toronto Marlies, announced today that the club has signed goaltender Andrew Engelage to an AHL contract.

Engelage, 22, has started two games with the Marlies this season, compiling a record of 2-0-0 with a 3.37 goals against average and 0.892 save percentage. The Oshawa, Ontario native has also appeared in 32 games this season with the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, compiling a record of 18-10-3-1 with a 2.56 goals against average and 0.921 save percentage. Last season, the 6'5, 206-pound goaltender appeared in 10 games with the Marlies, posting a record of 2-6-0.

Engelage originally signed a PTO contract with the Marlies on February 18, 2011.

The Marlies host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Friday night at Ricoh Coliseum, with puck drop scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on Leafs TV.
