B-Sens Release Ben Gordon, Recall Yannick Tifu

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have released forward Ben Gordon from his professional try-out contract and have recalled forward Yannick Tifu from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Gordon, 26, signed a PTO with Binghamton on Feb. 23. The native of International Falls, Minn. appeared in three games for the B-Sens, scoring one goal.

Gordon will rejoin the Reading Royals (ECHL), where he leads the team in scoring with 48 points (22 goals, 26 assists). He has also recorded 49 penalty minutes and is a plus-18 in 46 games with the Royals.

Tifu, 26, has appeared in 49 games with Elmira this season. He currently ranks second overall on the Jackals in scoring with 57 points (19 goals, 38 assists), has amassed 91 penalty minutes and is a plus-12.

This is the third recall to Binghamton for the native of Brossard, Que. Tifu has appeared in six games with the B-Sens this season, registering an assist.

The B-Sens return to action tonight as they host the Albany Devils at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are $17.75 for side seating, $16.75 for end seating.
