
Barons Defenseman Petiot Recalled by Edmonton

Oklahoma City - The Edmonton Oilers, parent club of the Oklahoma City Barons, recalled defenseman Richard Petiot (petty-oh), Oilers general manager Steve Tambellini announced today.
Petiot, a 6-4, 210-pounder from Daysland, Alberta has scored 12 points (0-12-12) and served 34 penalty minutes in 46 games with the Barons this season. The fourth-round selection, 116th overall, of the Los Angeles Kings in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, has recorded 88 points (18-70-88) in 300 games played during his professional career. He has scored three points in 13 NHL games.
The Barons host the Abbotsford Heat in a pair of games this weekend. Both games faceoff at 7:05 p.m. at the Cox Convention Center. Friday is Skateboard Deck Night. The first 2,000 fans through the doors will receive a Barons skateboard deck. The Abbotsford Heat are the AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames.
