Anaheim Reassigns Defenseman Eric Regan to Elmira

Syracuse, NY (March 1, 2011) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have reassigned defenseman Eric Regan from Syracuse to Elmira (ECHL).

Regan, 22, has appeared in nine games for the Crunch this season, registering one assist and nine penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 39 games for Elmira this year, collecting 30 points (9g, 21a) and 47 penalty minutes. At the time of his last reassignment to the Crunch on February 10, he was leading all ECHL defensemen in scoring.

A native of Whitby, Ontario, Regan has skated in 76 combined AHL games with the Crunch, Iowa and San Antonio since 2008-09, recording nine points (1g, 8a) and 51 penalty minutes.

The Crunch head west to take on the Houston Aeros on Friday March 4 at 8:35 p.m. Syracuse returns home on Friday, March 11 to battle the Texas Stars at 7:30 p.m. at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena.
