Marlies Fall 3-2 in Milwaukee
January 22, 2014 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Toronto Marlies News Release
The Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators, defeated the Toronto Marlies by a score of 3-2 tonight at BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee.
Miikka Salomaki's 9th goal of the season gave the Admirals a 1-0 advantage at 8:26 of the first period. Toronto would respond at 7:00 of the middle frame on Wade MacLeod's 5th goal of the year. Salomaki notched his second tally of the night on a powerplay just 25 seconds into the third period. Just under five minutes later, Colton Sissons gave the Admirals their third powerplay goal of the night to make it 3-1. Greg McKegg tallied his 8th goal of the season late in regulation, but that was as close as the Marlies would come to tying the game.
Toronto will conclude their seven game road trip on Friday night when they travel down the QEW for a 7:30 p.m. game against the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens. The Marlies return home on Saturday afternoon to host the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by calling the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
