Marlies Center Leveille Joins Inferno

COLUMBIA, S.C.-Left wing Daniel Sparre and center Michel Leveille have been reassigned to the Columbia Inferno, head coach and director of hockey operations Troy Mann announced today.

Leveille, 26, has eight points (six goals, two assists) and 10 penalty minutes in 33 games with Toronto of the American Hockey League this season. The five-foot-nine, 180-pound center has 10 points (eight goals, two assists) in 36 career AHL games. Prior to turning pro, the native of Levis, Quebec, had 148 points (52 goals, 96 assists) and 210 penalty minutes in 152 career games with the University of Maine from 2003-04 through 2006-07.

Sparre, 23, has four assists in seven games with Springfield and Albany of the AHL and 34 points (19 goals, 15 assists) and 40 penalty minutes with the Inferno this season. The five-foot-10, 180-pound winger has 17 points (six goals, 11 assists) and 14 penalty minutes in 45 career AHL games with Springfield, Albany and the Hartford from 2005-06 through 2007-08. The native of Brampton, Ontario also has 101 points (48 goals, 53 assists) and 118 penalty minutes in 130 career ECHL games with Charlotte, Texas and Columbia from 2005-06 through 2007-08.

The Inferno begin a four-game road trip tonight when they face Texas at 8:30 p.m. tonight for the first of three consecutive games with the Wildcatters this weekend. The Inferno return to the Carolina Coliseum on Friday, Feb. 29 to host the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 p.m.
