Trenton Devils News Release
TRENTON, NJ- The Trenton Devils will be hosting "Blue on the Ice," a charity game pitting two police forces from the Garden State on Sunday, March 9th at Sovereign Bank Arena. Hockey fans are invited to watch the contest featuring the New Jersey State Police and the Atlantic City Police Department before seeing the Trenton Devils take on the Johnstown Chiefs.
The puck drop for "Blue on the Ice" is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. After the conclusion of the game, the Devils take to the ice against the Chiefs in a divisional match-up at 4:00 p.m.
Tickets for the games are available at the door for $13. Doors will open one hour prior to the event. Each ticket is valid for the "Blue on the Ice" game plus the Devils-Chiefs game that afternoon.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Mercer County Sunshine Foundation. The Sunshine Foundation's purpose is to answer the dreams of seriously ill, physically challenged and abused children, aged three to eighteen, whose families cannot fulfill their requests due to financial strain that the child's illness may cause.
The Trenton Devils are in the midst of a five-game road trip but will return to Sovereign Bank Arena to begin a three-game homestand. The set starts with a contest against the Elmira Jackals on Friday, March 7th at 7:30 p.m. Full and partial ticket plans for the 2007-08 season are available by calling 609-599-9500.
