
David Brown Assigned by Pens, Nailers Host Pre-game Party

WHEELING, WV - The Wheeling Nailers, the "AA" affiliate of the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers, have announced today that the Penguins have reassigned goaltender David Brown from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to the Wheeling Nailers. He is expected to start tonight against the Elmira Jackals.
Brown began the season with Wheeling posting a record of 5-5-1 with a goals-against average of 3.07. He was recalled to the Baby Penguins on December 4 and since then has appeared in 12 American Hockey League games. He has compiled a 6-5-1 record and a 2.49 GAA with the Penguins.
The rookie from Notre Dame was drafted in the eighth round (#228 overall) by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
The Nailers will be hosting a pregame party tonight at River City Ale Works in downtown Wheeling. The event will start at 5:00 pm and run up until face-off between the Nailers and Jackals at 7:35pm.
Complimentary appetizers will be available at the bar to all Nailers fans, along with $1.50 drinks and $3.00 well drink specials.
On Saturday night, following the game, present your Nailers game ticket to receive free admission into River City Ale Works for live country music.
The Nailers begin a six-game home stand tonight with Faith and Family Night. The first 2,500 fans will receive a Nailers t-shirt and fans are invited to stay after the game and be in the team picture. On Saturday fans will be given a Sean Collins mini-bobblehead and on Sunday team posters will be handed out. Fans can also skate with the team following the game.
