Marlies Assign Yeo to Orlando

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that D Dylan Yeo has been assigned to Orlando by the Toronto Marlies.

Yeo (5-11, 208 lbs.) has played three games for the Toronto Marlies this season, earning one assist. He played the entire 2012-13 season with the Marlies, finishing with 18 points (2 goals, 16 assists) and 75 PIM in 46 games. Yeo has appeared in 174 games at the ECHL level with Ontario (2011-12), South Carolina (2009-11), and Victoria (2007-09), scoring 37 goals and picking up 77 assists for 114 points. Yeo was named the ECHL Defenseman of the Year in 2008-09 when he scored 10 goals and added 33 assists for 43 points in 52 games with Victoria and served as the captain of the Ontario Reign in 2011-12.

The native of Prince Albert, SK, has logged 151 games in the AHL, recording 46 points on nine goals and 37 assists. In addition to his time spent with the Toronto Marlies over the last two seasons, his AHL career includes stops in Oklahoma City (2011-12), Hersey (2009-11), and Manitoba (2007-09). Yeo helped the Bears collect a Calder Cup Championship in 2009-10, finishing with one assist in four regular season games and five PIM in two playoff contests.

Prior to turner pro, Yeo played four seasons (2003-07) in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Calgary Hitmen and Prince George Cougars. Yeo was the captain of Calgary in 2006-07 and had his best offensive season that year, tallying 31 points on eight goals and 23 assists. Yeo skated in 228 games in his WHL career, scoring 21 goals and adding 52 assists for 73 points along with 280 PIM.
