Wranglers, NV Energy Encourage Tweets for "Goals for Kids" Charity Contest

November 25, 2013 - ECHL (ECHL)
Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers and NV Energy announced Tuesday that the team's "Goals for Kids" program has returned for the 11th season in a row - with a twist.

For each home goal scored this season, NV Energy will donate money towards a youth-based non-profit organization in the Las Vegas area. This year, Wranglers fans can decide what charity receives the donation by submitting votes on Twitter.

Fans can tweet their favorite youth charity, either by mentioning the group's name or their Twitter handle, at @WranglersLValong with the hashtag #NVEgoals4kids to submit a vote. Votes can be tweeted multiple times over the course of the season, and the organization that gets the most votes will win. Non-profit organizations serving Vegas youths are encouraged to rally their staff and supporters to vote for them on Twitter as well.

The Wranglers and NV Energy have worked together on the "Goals for Kids" program for the past 10 years. Last season, the YMCA of Southern Nevada received a $10,000 donation after the Wranglers scored 126 home goals in 2012-13. Since 2003, the two partners have donated $100,000 back to the community.

Group tickets for the Wranglers' 11th season are on sale now! With five different event options for groups of 10 or more, a Wranglers game is the perfect way to celebrate with friends, host a unique corporate outing, or fundraise for your organization. Groups can save 35 percent off regular game-day ticket prices, and luxury packages start at just $300 with food and drink options available. For more information, contact the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-7825 or visit wranglers.co. Don't forget to find the Wranglers on Facebook and follow @WranglersLV on Twitter for the latest updates.
