PLAYOFFS AROUND THE CORNER
The Saskatoon Blades are rolling as they head to their second straight postseason with head coach Brennan Sonne at the helm.
The Bridge City Bunch is 6-0-1-0 in their last seven games, and clinched a playoff spot late Saturday afternoon due to a Lethbridge Hurricanes victory over the Calgary Hitmen. The Blades then went on to beat the Prince Albert Raiders 3-1 at the Art Hauser Centre later that evening.
Saskatoon's latest victory came Wednesday on home ice when they beat the Red Deer Rebels 5-2.
Forwards Egor Sidorov and Brandon Lisowsky each recorded two goals and three points, while Ethan Chadwick's record jumped to 19-8-1-1 after only facing ten shots.
The Blades boast a 39-13-4-1 record which is good for 83 points and third in the Eastern Conference.
