Regina Pats News Release

Regina, Sask. - The Regina Pats have hired Brennan McConaghy as the clubs interim Athletic Therapist.

McConaghy, 29, brings more than seven years of experience to the Pats in various athletic therapist roles, most recently as a Seasonal Athletic Therapist for the Edmonton Elks of the Canadian Football League (CFL) this past summer. Additionally, he was the Assistant Athletic Therapist for the Sudbury Wolves of the OHL in 2021 and he assisted with the Western Hockey League's Edmonton Oil Kings last fall.

The Fredericton, N.B. product was previously a Varsity Athletic Therapist at St. Thomas University, as well as a Student Athletic Therapist at Durham College, where he worked with their men's soccer and men's volleyball programs. While working at Durham College, McConaghy attended post-secondary school at Sheridan College in Brampton, Ont.

The hiring of McConaghy on an interim basis comes following the departure of Greg Mayer, who served as the Pats Athletic Therapist for 19 years before joining the Saskatchewan Roughriders as their Lead Athletic Therapist this week.
