ICE Falls to Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat goaltender Evan May made 40 saves to backstop the Tigers to a 6-4 victory over the Winnipeg ICE Wednesday night.

Easton Armstrong and Zack Ostapchuk gave the ICE an early 2-0 advantage only to see the Tigers score three unanswered to spark the homeside.

Oasiz Wiesblatt led the Tigers with two goals and two assists. Reid Andresen, Hunter St. Martin, Cru Hanas and Andrew Basha rounded out the attack as the Tigers improve to 25-24-8-1, now 7th in the Eastern Conference standings.

Connor McClennon and Matthew Savoie scored in the back half of the game as the ICE outshot the Tigers 44-28. The loss drops Winnipeg's record to 48-8-1. Mason Beaupit suffered the loss in goal.

The ICE went 2/6 on the power play while Medicine Hat was 1/3.

Winnipeg continues their 10-game road trip Friday in Regina (6:30 on CFRW 1290 AM / 7:00 on WHL Live via CHL TV). The game will also be broadcast on TSN.
