
Mamava Breast Feeding Pod Now Available to New Moms at Sahlen Field

The Bisons have partnered wtih the John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, the region's center for maternal, pediatric and neonatal care, to bring a new Mamava lactation suite for moms to Sahlen Field. The Oishe Children's Hospital-branded suite will give moms the choice of a clean, quiet and private space to nurse and pump breastmilk at the ballpark.
Created by Mamava, a company dedicated to transforming the culture of breastfeeding by making it easier for more women to achieve their breastfeeding goals, the lactation suite is a self-contained, mobile pod with comfortable benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet for plugging in a breast pump as well as a door that can be locked for privacy. The 4-foot by 8-foot pod is intended for individual use, but can fit more than one person, as well as mothers with babies and other children in tow. The suite's exterior also prominently features the same bright colors, Buffalo-themed imagery and kid-friendly murals found inside the 185-bed world-class hospital for women and children on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.
The Mamava lactation suite is located in the main concourse at Sahlen Field by guest relations on the third base side of the ballpark and will be available to patrons on game days during the baseball season. The Mamava app helps moms find breastfeeding and pumping friendly locations, including every publicly placed Mamava and mama-submitted locations.
