Quad City Mallards vs. the Fort Wayne Komets

MOLINE, Ill. - Joe Perry's hat trick propelled the host Quad City Mallards (x) the Fort Wayne Komets (x) Friday night.
x first place in the ECHL's Midwest Division.
The Komets emerged from the second period with a 4-3 lead after the Mallards twice battled from behind to tie the score in the second. The Mallards were on the power play when Austin Coldwell evened the game at one from the high slot just a minute and 17 seconds int o the period. A mere 45 seconds later Joe Perry's produced the equalizer with his second goal of the game, a shot that broke through Mallard goaltender Brody Hoffman.
The Mallards and Komets meet again Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at the iWireless Center. After that game fans who bring their skates can join their favorite players on the ice for another B100 Skate with the Mallards.
