May 1, 2013 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Clinton LumberKings News Release
Clinton, IA - The Clinton LumberKings stack up as one of the most affordable options in all of Minor League Baseball. In a survey of all 160 affiliated baseball clubs, Minor League Baseball found that the average cost for a family of four to enjoy an evening at the ballpark was just over $62. At Ashford University Field, a family of four spends less than $50 for the budget-friendly entertainment.
The ticket prices for LumberKings games are below average compared to the rest of minor league baseball. The average Minor League ticket costs $7.27, while a general admission adult ticket to a LumberKing game costs $7. Discounts save families money with free admission for kids ages five and under, and $5 for children six years or older.
Weekly promotions at Ashford University Field allow for even more discounts on family fun. Every Sunday home game is Family Day, where fans can purchase two adult and four student tickets for just $20. On Wednesday home games, the LumberKings offer Louie's Grand Slam package, which provides tickets, food and drink in a single purchase. The $30 package includes four tickets, four hot dogs, four bags of chips and four sodas.
Concessions at Ashford University Field also rank below the nationwide average. LumberKing fans can find food and drink specials for every home game, such as 50 cent hot dogs on Tuesdays. The Single-A level average cost of parking is $4.31 and is free in Clinton.
The Clinton LumberKings, Midwest League Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, play at Ashford University Field. For the full 2013 schedule, season ticket and group party information, merchandise and more, call the LumberKings at 563-242-0727 or visit www.lumberkings.com.
