Lugnuts and Whitecaps Rained Out
May 15, 2006 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Lansing Lugnuts News Release
LANSING - The rain system that has put a damper on Michigan over the last five days continued into Monday and forced the cancellation of Monday night's series finale between Lansing and West Michigan at Oldsmobile Park. The game will not be made up since it is the only time that the two teams meet in the first half.
The wet weather gives the Lugnuts the 2-1 series win and keeps Lansing 1/2 game ahead of West Michigan in the Eastern Division standings. Lansing now owns the potential tiebreaker if needed at the end of the first half with the series win.
The Lugnuts will hit the road beginning Tuesday for a four game set with the Burlington Bees at Community Field in Burlington, Iowa. First pitch is set for 8:00 p.m. EST Tuesday evening.
