Bees and Swing Rained Out For Third Time
May 15, 2006 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Burlington Bees News Release
Burlington, IA (May 15, 2006) - Tonight's double-header between the Burlington Bees and the Swing of the Quad Cities at Community Field has been cancelled due to heavy rain and a saturated playing surface. The Bees and Swing don't face each other again until August so these games will not be made up. This is the fourth rainout in the last five days for the Bees and the team has now lost three games on the first half schedule.
This home stand continues tomorrow night as the Lansing Lugnuts come to town for a four-game series. Tomorrow night's game will start at 7:00 on a Hawk Eye 2-for-Tuesday. The gates and the ticket window will open at 6:00. Bring the coupon from tomorrow's paper and get two general admission tickets for the price of one. The series includes a day game on Wednesday starting at 11:30AM for Honor Roll Day and concludes on Friday night with the drawing for Iowa's Largest Community Basket. For ticket information, contact the Bees at (319) 754-5705.
