Devil Rays play 14 games in 15 Days - Part I

Southwest Michigan Devil Rays News Release


The Southwest Michigan Devil Rays are back in town and they'll be home until the end of May. This home stand is filled with exciting daily promotions while the Devil Rays try to take over first place from Lansing in the Eastern Division. The Rays will play 14 home games in 15 days at C.O. Brown Stadium in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Tuesday, May 16, 6:35pm: Every Tuesday night at C.O. Brown Stadium is Red Hot Chicago Dime Dog Night. Make sure you clean out the couch cushions because until the end of the 5th inning you can get a Red Hot Chicago Hot Dog for only 10-cents courtesy of Soft Rock 95.3 FM and Greater Guide.

Wednesday, May 17, 11:05am: Wednesday's game is Education Day and a Business Person's Special at C.O. Brown. Area school groups will be in attendance to enjoy the Rays as well as local business people that will spend their lunch hour with the Rays can receive a voucher that includes a game ticket, and a lunch that includes their choice of a hamburger, jumbo hot dog, or bratwurst with Better Made chips and Pepsi for only $10.

Thursday, May 18, 6:35pm: It's Thirsty Thursday at C.O. Brown presented by Super Rock 104.9 FM. Fans can get a beer or a Pepsi for only $1 until the end of the 7th inning. Stick around because after the game there will be a live music performance from "Streetsmart" in the TDS Metrocom Left Field Bar.

Friday, May 19, 7:05pm: FIREWORKS!! It is the first of ten fireworks shows at C.O. Brown presented by New Opinion, Comcast, WIN 98.5 FM and Battle Creek Shopper. It is also Hispanic Night as the Rays welcome local Tex-Mex band "Los Bandits" to play live before the game. There will be concessions specials such as $2 Coronas and $1 Tornados and there will be a Spanish speaking public address announcer. May 19th is also Boy Scout Night and the local Scouts will enjoy a great night of fun and an on-field camp out. Call the Rays group sales office at 269-660-2287 for details.

Saturday, May 20, 6:35pm: It is Armed Forces Night at C.O. Brown and the Devil Rays will proudly recognize all our troops at home and abroad with a night dedicated to all branches of the US Military. Various military groups will be on hand with recruiting tables and displays. The Krazy Karacters will also perform with their krazy mascot antics courtesy of Battle Creek Shopper and Q-106.5 FM.

Sunday, May 21, 3:35pm: It's McCullough Family Chiropractic Family Sunday and the mascot Jumping Jack will perform between innings and will interact with children. Kids get to run the bases like the Devil Rays after the game. It is also Faith Day and live music from a familiar act, the Christian band "Disciples Peak", will happen in the Family Fun Park. Guest speaker Kelly Hadlich will be on hand to deliver an uplifting message. Presented in part by Battle Creek Shopper and Q-106.5 FM.

Monday, May 22, 11:05am: It is Education Day and kids from area schools will join the Devil Rays in an 11:05 am start time. Jumping Jack will perform to entertain the kids courtesy of Battle Creek Shopper and Q-106.5 FM.
