TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons host the Louisville Bats for the final game of a four-game series from Dunn Tire Park (1:05 p.m.). The Herd is looking for the series win after last night's doubleheader sweep. On the hill today will be LHP Eric DuBose. Louisville will counter with RHP Tom Shearn.

VS. THE BATS: Today's game is the final regular season game between the Bisons and the Bats. Ahead 4-3, the Herd can win the season series with a victory today. Since 1998, the Bisons have a 44-35 record against Louisville (.557 winning percentage).

SOLID STARTER: Eric DuBose makes his Dunn Tire Park debut today. The southpaw did not earn a decision despite five solid innings last Friday in Norfolk (4H, 3ER, 2K).

EVERY DAY HITTER: Jonathan Van Every hit a home run in both games with his fourth of the season in game two being a walk-off blast in the 10th inning. Since joining the Bisons on June 10, Van Every has hit .423 (11-26) with 4HR, 4RBI and a .962 slugging percentage. He enters today's game on a seven-game hit streak: 476 (10-21).

CLUTCH COOP: All three of Jason Cooper's RBI hits in game one came with two outs. Cooper is eight for his last 21 (.381) at the plate, with 3 doubles, 3HR and 8RBI. Cooper has also drawn 5 walks in his last 7 games.

BULLY FOR THE PEN: The bullpen combined for 5.1 shutout innings in the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader. Four relievers allowed just 2 hits and struck out 5.

NORTHERN LEADERS: The Bisons have been in first place in the IL North division since May 5 (48 consecutive days).
