Late Drama In Lynx Win

International League Final - Thursday June 21st, 2007 @ Lynx Stadium, Ottawa, Ontario

The Lynx snapped their losing streak in dramatic fashion, coming back to win 4-3 in extra innings.

The win bumps the Lynx record to 30-39 while Toledo drops to 42-32. Lynx Players Of The Day: Gary Burnham drove in the Lynx first three runs, including a dramatic two-run home run in the bottom of the 8th.

Game Recap: Toledo took another early lead, scoring twice in the top of the second off Lynx starter Eude Brito. The Lynx came back narrowed the gap with a run in the bottom of the third. Tim Gradoville reached on a bunt single, moving to second base on Joe Thurston's walk. Brennan King loaded the bases with a single of his own and Gary Burnham got the Lynx on the board with a sacrifice fly to cash Gradoville. The Mud Hens would get out of the inning without any more damage before getting that run back in the top of the fourth. The Lynx trailed 3-1 until the bottom of the eighth when Brennan King walked with two down, setting the stage for Gary Burnham's game-tying two-run home run with two out. The Lynx rode the momentum into the 10th inning when Brennan King doubled, giving way to pinch runner Chris Roberson. The Mud Hens walked Burnham intentionally, but Jim Rushford came up big with an RBI single to win the game for the Lynx.

Next Game: The Lynx hit the road for an eight-game road trip, starting with four games against Columbus, starting Friday night at 7:25.

Probable Pitchers: Friday @ Columbus, 7:255 pm: Ottawa RHP J.D. Durbin (2-4, 4.82) takes on Columbus LHP John Lannan (NR).
