
Bulls Earn Split with Yankees, 5-1

Durham, NC - The Bulls scored two runs in the first and RHP Mitch Talbot made it hold as Durham knocked off the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Yankees, 5-1 on Thursday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The win gave the Bulls a 5-3 record on the homestand.
Durham got on the board in the bottom of the second inning on RBI-doubles from Dustan Mohr and Michel Hernandez to make it 2-0. They added another tally in the fourth inning on Justin Ruggiano's RBI-single and a pair on Joel Guzman's two-run home run to left in the seventh to round out the scoring.
Talbot (6-6) picked up the victory pitching six and one-third innings allowing one run on four hits while striking out six. RHP Matt DeSalvo (4-1) took his first loss of the season lasting only four and two-thirds innings allowing three runs on six hits and four walks while striking out 10.
