Louisville Bats News Release

NASHVILLE, TN - Inclement weather delayed and ultimately suspended the game between Louisville and Nashville in the third inning on Saturday night at First Horizon Park.

Nashville scratched a run in the first but took control of the game in the following frame, posting six runs on five hits with a walk and a three-run homerun from Abraham Almonte as the exclamation point on the scoring flurry.

After a 1-2-3 inning in the top of the second and a walk to start the bottom half, the game was delayed due to persistent rain that made the playing surface unplayable.

The game would ultimately be suspended to be made up tomorrow, with play set to resume at 2:05 p.m. Action will commence in the bottom of the third inning with no outs, Mark Mathias in the box for Nashville in an 0-1 count, and David Dahl at first base.

The series finale was originally scheduled between the Bats and Sounds for 3:05 p.m. ET tomorrow but will now take place as a seven-inning game immediately following the suspended contest. Right-hander Robert Dugger (0-2, 3.94) is set to start for Louisville in game two, while righty Alec Bettinger (0-0, 7.20) will take the hill for Nashville.
