Lake County Captains News Release
(Eastlake, OH)- Tyler Ogle singled home two runs in the sixth inning and that was all the offense that Great Lakes (5-2) needed as they defeated the Captains (5-2) by a final of 2-0. The Loons have won seven of ten games this year against Lake County.
Lake County had just three hits in the ballgame. Aaron Siliga, Joe Sever and Dorssys Paulino all hit singles for the Captains. Lake County has been shut out six times on the 2013 season.
RHP Luis Dejesus (2-8) started for Lake County. Dejesus pitched six innings and allowed six hits, He allowed two earned funs and five strikeouts. Dejesus took the loss. Luis Morel pitched three scoreless innings in relief for the Captains.
Great Lakes started LHP Miguel Sulbaran (4-2). Sulbaran earned the win. He allowed two hits, and fanned six in six shutout innings. Luis Meza pitched two scoreless innings for the Loons. Craig Stem earned his sixth save of the season after pitching a scoreless ninth inning.
Thursday is a special morning game with several local summer camps in attendance.
Lake County will send RHP Robbie Aviles (1-2, 5.09) to the rubber to start the ballgame. The Great Lakes Loons will counter with RHP Brandon Martinez (0-0, 4.15). First Pitch is at 11:00 AM from Classic Park in Eastlake, Ohio.
