GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Chicago Cubs, have announced that pitcher Jeffrey Antigua has been transferred from Triple-A Iowa to Kane County. Antigua's return brings the Cougars to the Midwest League maximum of 25 active players on the roster as the team hosts Beloit this afternoon at 12 p.m.
Antigua (Non-drafted FA, 2006) was 2-1 with a 4.61 ERA in 5 games with Iowa, and has a 2.78 ERA in 12 games with Kane County. This was Antigua's second stint at Triple-A Iowa.
